Alken Delt' (165 x 221mm), window-mounted in oblong 4° album (229 x 286mm), with modern letterpres6 title. Blue half morocco and marbled boards by Aquarius, spine gilt, gilt cover label. Alken's skill as a miniaturist is evident in these small, brilliantly coloured plates (image 85 x 120mm) with engraved verses beneath. An 'entirely different set to the well-known series of 1821', the plates have the series title at upper margin but are not individually captioned like the larger set. Siltzer p. 72.
