Late 17th/early 18th century calf, gilt floral borders and cornerpieces, raised bands, gilt in panels. Old dampstaining extending from margins throughout, title repaired with 1 1/2 inch strip to foremargin, 17th century marginalia throughout, spine rubbed. Provenance: Bernardine Murphy (bookplate). FIRST SANSOVINO EDITION, and the first to include the commentaries of Landino and Vellutello together. The numerous woodcut illustrations are from the 1544 edition of Marcolini.
