This edition features the censored text of 1833, prefaced by 100 introductory pages by K. Polevoj concerning his acquaintance with Griboedov. It was already considered a rarity in the 1870s and has been less frequent on the market than the first edition of 1833 (Smirnov-Sokol’skii). Kilgour 405; Smirnov-Sokol’skii 644. 16mo (100 x 57mm). With the engraved portrait frontispiece and the half-title (occasional, mainly marginal spotting and soiling).
