An album containing original drawings, photographs, and manuscript writings, early 20th century, calligraphic title-page 'Fred Dorricott to Miss M Sidebottom France 1919', with pen and watercolour Tank Corps badge above and YMCA logo below, three pen & ink drawings, comprising a cartoon entitled 'Demobilization 1919', initialled F.R., an illustration of a soldier with the sketchy figure of a girl on his arm entitled 'Memories', and a mounted god with trident and laurel wreath emerging from the waves captioned 'In honour of the British Navy. To commemorate the surrender of the German fleet. France 1919', and three watercolours, including one of a tank on a battle field, inscribed 'Peter Shaw Merlimont 1919', and one of a bus, captioned 'Our Bus Service in 1924', plus three photographs taken at Merlimont, plus a number of blank leaves, plus nine leaves loosely inserted from an earlier (1890s) album, mostly with drawings and watercolours, a.e.g., original vellum with yapp fore-edges, bowed, upper cover with hand-painted Persian-style border, and monogram 'FED' in centre, oblong 4to, plus a pencil and pastel drawing depicting the Matterhorn as a monster with huge gaping mouth, and a skeleton behind, captioned 'Der Bergtod - eine Matterhornphantasie', signed 'Wolf' and dated 1932, framed and glazed (2)
