Grading these albumen prints on a scale of 1 to 10 - a 10 being a print that has rich, deep dark tones and highlights that retain all their original detail – these prints range between a 6 and a 10++. While there is yellowing and/or fading at the edges of some prints, overall this large collection of photographs exhibits exceptional detail and print quality. Overall, these photographs are in generally good to excellent condition. The following is visible on some of the photographs when examined closely: minor scuffs; hairline scratches; deposits of original retouching; minor silvering in the dark areas near the edges; and original small creases mostly near the edges that likely occurred prior to or as a result of mounting. The print surface is generally very clean. Each mount measures approximately 17 by 12-3/4 inches (43.2 by 32.4 cm.). The mounts are appropriately age-darkened. There is wear to the edges and soiling on the front and reverse of the mounts. Foxing is visible on many of the mounts, which, with very few exceptions, does not intrude upon or impact the photograph.
