Revus ou Traduits par M.Albert-Montémont [sic.] . Paris: Armand-Aubrée, 1833-1837, 47 volumes (text: 46 vols, 8° [205 x 126mm.]; plates: 1 vol, 8° [[218 x 140mm.]). Text: half-titles. (Some spotting and browning.); Plates: 90 hand-coloured engraved costume plates by Choubard, after L.Massard (77), F.Wachsmut (5), and J.David. Five plates browned.) Text: uniform contemporary green morocco-backed boards, the spines divided into five compartments by horizontal rules, lettered in the second, third and fourth, the first and fifth with repeat decoration of a single centrally-placed tool of a sailing-ship; Plates: later blue morocco-backed marbled boards, spines gilt with red morocco onlays, t.e.g. (very light scuffing to the extremities of some of the text volumes). A fine set with the rare additional volume of plates. At the foot of each plate is a line of engraved text giving the location in the text which corresponds to (and usually describes) the plate. The text volumes are divided into sections: vols.1-21 Voyages round the World; vols.22-30 African travels; vols. 31-37 Asian travels; vols.38-42 American travels; vol.43 travels in Oceania; vols.44-47 travels in Europe.
