Beschreibung:

After Pieter Brueghel the Elder Christ and the Adultress engraving, circa 1579, third (final) state, with the address of Visscher, a clear but slightly later impression, watermark Strasbourg Lily, trimmed on or just within the platemark on three sides and to the subject at the lower right corner, trimmed just below the borderline at the bottom (lacking the legend), the usual central vertical fold, a small repaired and touched-in area to the right of the adultress, a small abrasion on Christ's shoulder, one or two minor thin areas, minor creasing mainly visible verso , S. 244mm. x 439mm.; and one plate from The Pilgrimage of the Epileptics to the Church at Molenbeeck, engraving, 1642, possibly second (final) state (state uncertain as trimmed), trimmed just outside or to the borderline, a hole at the upper left corner, a tear at the lower edge extending into subject, a further tear at the upper right corner (both backed), some faint staining, S. 220 x 163mm.
