AFTER GIOVANNI BATTISTA PIRANESI (1720-1778) "Veduta del Tempio della Sibilla in Tivoli", black and white engraving, 44 cm x 65 cm, together with AFTER CAVALIERE PIRANESI (GIOVANNI BATTISTA PIRANESI (1720-1778) "Avanzi del Tempio della di Appollo nella Villa Adriana Vicino a Tivoli", black and white engraving, 47 cm x 62 cm CONDITION REPORTS First item "Verduta del Tempio...." whilst not appearing to be 18th Century, does appear to have some age, the paper somewhat discoloured throughout and with some signs of scratching to the image, particularly middle left (see images) and top left corner. Some rippling to the paper, probably caused by previous damp, in modern frame and mount which appears to have helped with this. Glass to frame with crack top right hand corner. Second item "Avanzi del Tempio....." appears to be an older state with more discolouration and foxing, particularly to the edging though lightly throughout, particularly top half and right hand side, otherwise image seems in good condition. In both cases margins intact, certainly to the edge of the impression, but mount covering the outer margins so difficult to see exactly how much remains or the condition of it.
