London: John Stockdale, 1793. 2 volumes, large 8 o (258 x 158 mm). 2 engraved titles and 110 engraved plates by Skelton, Cooper, Grainger, Gyde, Champman and others after Barlow. 20th-century light-brown straight-grained morocco gilt, edges gilt, by Bayntun (some light rubbing). First Stockdale edition, with engraved plates by thirty different engravers and four unsigned plates. Bentley mentions that the work was advertised at the end of the second volume of Gay's 1793 Fables as containing Blake engravings, however there are no signed Blake plates.
