Lacking first volume title and 21 other text leaves, many losses and repairs to edges occasionally affecting text, some softening and holes, side-notes trimmed close and occasionally shaved, a few headlines cropped, vol 2 title laid down, plates with loss. Provenance: John Hustler [1715-1790], of Undercliffe House, Bradford (typographic labels). Fourth edition of Foxe's Book of Martyrs (as it was later known), and the last to be published in his lifetime. The first English edition was published in 1563.
