The rectangular jade panel finely carved with a fruiting pipa tree on one side and a twenty-character poem on the other, mounted by a removable cloisonné enamel frame, the cloisonné enamel stand with detailed lattice qilong panels supported by a pair of bracket feet, an openwork floral panel at the center above a pair of ruyi-shaped aprons.

The gilt-decorated poem pay be read as:
露襲仙裾重 風傳金粟香
蟾宮秋信早 齊見五枝芳
廣寒仙客
Small table screens of this type, depicting a scene of nature and accompanied by a poem on the reverse, served as sources of inspiration for Chinese scholars. On this jade panel, the loquat (pipa) tree blooms in the fall and its fruit ripens in the spring, while the poem hinting the fall by mentioning chestnuts and osmanthus, are all reminders of the changing season and the joy of life.
