Condition Report: Please note: Following further inspection it has been concluded that this table should be described as follows and not as described in the printed catalogue: A walnut demi-lune folding card table or credence table, circa 1690 and later Condition as follows: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Various old chips and splits. Some old repairs, including various sections of veneer to the rear frieze and some other areas. Evidence of old worm with old filler/dark wax used to disguise in areas. Fabric to interior of top is later. It has some wear and fraying to edges. Some sections of replacement veneer - see images. Parts of the table would appear to incorporate later or adapted elements including the gateleg elements of the rear legs and the hinged actions they revolve on, possibly the legs and feet themselves and the undertier. All appear to incorporate old timber. The legs are faded in colour and quite highly polished. Section of moulding to the rear frieze which houses one of the legs is detached but present.
