A Victorian gold, split pearl and enamel tassel brooch, c.1860, of looped ribbon form to a tubular hoop and bloomed ground. A centrepiece of two flat section crescent shapes with split pearls, grain set between pairs of royal blue enamel beads,, with a split pearl to the centre, with radiating enamel batons and matching arched sections each side. Hand engraved swag decoration to the ribbons with a detachable pendant drop of articulated fringe. Tested as approximately 9ct gold. 79 x, 45mm, 23.79g
