Lot Description: A Victorian Gold and Enamel Medal, by Daniel George Collins Birmingham, 1897, 15ct, shaped as a bicycle wheel, applied with a ribbon, enamelled 'Dunlop 1898', the suspension loop with coronet terminal, the back engraved with an inscription, 4cm high, gross weight 14dwt (12.4gr.) The inscription reads 'To J. A. Metcalf for Successes Accomplished during 1898 on Dunlop Tyres.' Condition Report: . Fully marked on back and stamped 'Collins'. The marks are generally clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There are some very minor chips and scratches to the enamel.
