A Victorian carved and part stained bone Staunton pattern chess set, last quarter 19th century, stained red and natural, the kings 8.75cm high, the pawns 4.25cm high, with an associated Edwardian mahognay box, the hinged cover with white metal plaque inscribed 'H.M.S. ARETHUSA FEB 11TH 1916', 8cm high, 17.5cm wide; a Victorian silver plated metal kaleidoscope, second half 19th century, the leather faced case with brass plaque inscribed 'DR BREWSTER'S PATENT', the case 5cm high, 18.5cm wide; a French parquetry veneered box, late 19th century, the lockplate inscribed for 'TAHAN' of Paris, 4.5cm high, 19.5cm wide; and an Anglo-Indian ebony and quill mounted box, early 20th century, containing turned wood draughts counters Condition report disclaimer
