A VERY RARE TIBETAN 30-BORE SILVER-MOUNTED MATCHLOCK GUN ( ME-DA ) LATE 18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY With three-stage twist sighted barrel with bulbous faceted muzzle and retained by three bands of silver wire, standing rear-sight at the breech, exposed priming-pan, pierced trigger, hardwood full stock decorated with applied silver panels each cast and chased with scrollwork in low relief, the right side of the butt with traditional hide pouch with embroidered flap for the match, the fore-end fitted with the traditional folding bi-pod formed of two bamboo stakes with silver mounts en suite with the stock and each with long dark antelope horn tip, and original brown leather sling 43¼in (109.8cm) barrel
