A VERY RARE FAMILLE ROSE OVAL BOX AND COVER HOUZHITANG ZHI IRON-RED HALL MARK DAOGUANG PERIOD (1821-1850) Of oval form with deep sides slightly belling out towards the rim, the box is decorated in famille rose enamels around the exterior with four lotus sprays below a floral band. The cover is similarly decorated and surmounted by a moulded peach-form finial. 5 5/8 in. (14.2 cm.) wide
