A very rare Dinky Toy/Hornby Series part-set of four 28/1 Delivery Vans, in original trade box titled 'A1008 Meccano Dinky Toys No. 28/1 Delivery Vans', comprising 'Hornby Trains', 'Pickfords', 'The Manchester Guardian' and 'Palethorpe's' with 'Palethorpe's Model Factory Tipton' on rear doors, with contemporary addition of blue and red 22c Motor Truck and orange and blue 22d Delivery Van, box with two rectangular dividers and one straight card divider, 1934-1935 (E, some foxing to roof of 22d Delivery Van, box G, lid grubby, faint pencil inscriptions inside box base where vans used to be stored) See Colour Plates
