A US Civil War period cavalry sword M1860, housed in an M1840 scabbard. The 88cm blade with Montmorency secondary fuller, in bright clean condition. Marked to maker C. Roby, Chelmsford, Mass on one side of the ricasso and U.S. 1864 A.G.M on the other. Leather over wooden grip, with brass twisted grip wire in place.
