A Triumph Stag, reg first registered September 1974, 2997cc. Bought by the present owner in 2014. The car having spent many years off the road was subject to a major overhaul. This included changing the original colour of Brown to Triumph Pimento Red. The bodywork is in excellent condition boasting its original sills and inners and all under body is sound and original. The engine had a total rebuild, it was then coupled to a ZF420 4 speed auto box which transforms the performance. Stainless bumpers, Stainless exhaust, Upgraded cooling system, Complete brake overhaul. The car has only covered 7,000 miles in the last eight years and is being sold through lack of use. Recently Mot'd although exempt. The car is maintained regularly and has recently had a new alternator. A common fault with stags is the differential can have a tendency to whine at certain road speeds and as this car has, in 2020 it was removed, cleaned, adjusted, and fitted with new oil seals. At the same time the rear suspension was upgraded with poly bushes. Unfortunately the whine was not improved and although no detriment it can still be heard at certain road speeds. The private number is NOT included in the sale. Engine. Rebored, new crank, camshafts, sprockets, chains, tensioners, oil pump, water pump. Cylinder heads overhauled. Etc.
