C. 2013, natural finish, the top of the guitar signed "Avicii" by the musician in blue marker pen, together with the original auction document issued by The Doheny School from whence this guitar was obtained. Provenance: purchased by the vendor in 2015 at a charity auction organized by The Doheny School, a small exclusive pre-school in the Beverly Hills area. The guitar was donated by Magnus and Linda Lygdback, who had a child at the school at the time. Magnus is a renowned health and wellness expert and lifestyle coach. Swedish DJ, producer and musician Bergling was one of the biggest stars of dance music. A prolific composer, he was described by Nile Rodgers of Chic as "one of the greatest natural melody writers." In 2013 Bergling released the album True, from which was taken the single "Wake Me Up." It landed at No. 1 on the Spotify Global Chart, going on to set a record of 14 weeks at the top of Billboard magazine's Dance/Electronic Songs list. In the UK the song became the fastest-selling single of the year, overtaking Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines," and subsequently topped the charts in more than 20 countries. In November of that year Bergling won the "Best Electronic" award at the MTV EMA's as well as the American Music Award for "Favorite Electronic Music Artist." In 2016, he retired from live performance, citing health issues and in the 2017 documentary, Avicii: True Stories, he talked about his physical and mental health problems. He died on 20th April 2018, aged 28.
