A SUPERB RUBY AND DIAMOND NECKLACE, BY FAIDEE Designed as a line of thirty-two cushion-shaped rubies, weighing approximately 5.05 to 1.04 carats, alternating with cushion-shaped diamonds, mounted in platinum and gold, 39.0 cm, in black Faidee case With maker’s mark for Faidee Accompanied by premium report no. 82001 dated 25 September 2015 from the SSEF Swiss Gemmological Institute stating that the rubies are of Burma (Myanmar) origin, with no indications of heating and the colour of part of these rubies may also be called "pigeon blood red" based on SSEF reference standards ; also accompanied by an appendix stating that the ruby necklace possesses extraordinary characteristics and merits special mention and appreciation. The rubies are characterized by an attractive and matching colour and a very fine purity. The small inclusions found by microscopic inspection and the analysed properties of these rubies are the hallmarks of rubies from the reputed mines in the Mogok valley and from Mong Hsu (southeast of Mogok). Their attractive and saturated colour - for part of these rubies poetically referred to as 'pigeon's blood red' - is due to a combination of well-balanced trace elements in these gemstones, characteristic for the finest rubies from Burma (Myanmar).
