A SULTANABAD POTTERY BOWL NORTH IRAN, 14TH CENTURY With rounded body rising from vertical foot, the dark interior of the central roundel scattered with leaf-motifs around three stylised flying birds, the rim with a row of circular shapes within white borders, the exterior with a band of black dots and diagonal lines with vertical blue splashes within plain black stripes, repaired breaks, slight iridescence 8½in. (21.6cm.) diam.
