The vase is of elongated cylindrical form tapering to a waisted neck and finely painted with a continuous narrative scene of an official, his attendant and probably a merchant in an elegant garden beside a crane and craggy rocks, mountains in the background. Provenance: From a British private estate. Condition: Superb condition with some wear and minimal surface scratches as expected on a vase from this period, one minuscule glaze flake to lip, probably from firing. Rare in this fine state of preservation!
