A SMALL BLUE AND WHITE DEEP BOWL SHUNZHI PERIOD (1644-1661) The small bowl is decorated in deep tones of cobalt blue on either side of the exterior with a dancing lady amidst scattered blossoms. The interior is decorated with a central medallion containing a small boy amidst similar blossoms and beneath a lappet border. The base bears a six-character mark qi shi bao ding zhi zhen ('precious as a treasured ding of rare stone´) within a double circle. 5 1/8 in. (13 cm.) diam.
