Whitmore of Boston/A descendant in the 5th Generation/from John Whitmore Deacon/1713-1739, marked on body and cover with Kane mark C, also with Museum of Fine Arts, Boston loan sticker M.F.A. 104.25 First Parish Medford ; the mug tapering cylindrical with applied midband, the scroll handle engraved G/F*R, marked on body with Kane mark B , the base engraved 4 , also engraved with Ford Collection inventory number F22 The tankard 8¼ in.
