A silver-gilt and cloisonné enamel kovsh Moscow, 1908-1917, Cyrillic mark NP possibly for Nikolai Pavlov The oval shaped bowl decorated with vari-coloured exotic birds on floral branches to either side, with floral scroll reserves to each end and to the convex pointed prow, within geometric borders, the rising scroll handle with similar patterns, engraved in the base in Russian 'Christ is risen!', marked under base 5 in. (12.7 cm.) long
