A Sèvres green-ground composite part dinner serviceVarious dates 1762-1779 painted with predominantly flowers within cartouches gilt with leaves, flowers and foliage, comprising:a two-handled oval tureen and cover, 1762a two-handled quatrefoil stand, en suite, 1763two large bottle coolers, the porcelain 18th century, the decoration 19th century four liqueur bottle coolers, 1770 and 1771two covers, circa 1770five soup plates, 1771twenty plates, 1762, 1763, 1765, 1771 interlaced L's marks, date letters and painter's marksthe tureen 33cm, 12¼in wide To view Shipping Calculator, please click here.Condition ReportThe most interesting shapes and forms in this service have some damages and would require some attention. Generally of good appearance and well decorated. In detail: The two-handled oval tureen and cover, 1762, the underside of the tureen only marked with date letter `j` and painter's mark of a St Andrew's cross for Micaud. The cover is in generally good order with some scartches to the glaze and scattered small patches of wear to the gilding of the cartouches and the rim. The tureen itself has had the four feet cracked through and re-stuck, probably along old firing faults. Traces of gilding to the cracks, some minor lost chipping associated, in one part to the outer leaf-moulded section; these require attention. Some rubbing to gilding and scattered patches or wear to gilt cartouches. 10 in, 25.2 cm. high The two-handled quatrefoil stand, en suite, 1763, date letter K and painter's marks of four dots at the intersections of the crossed L mark for Armand le jeune. Cracked from the rim to the centre of the dish and pinned with rivets which have been counter-sunk to the back of the stand. Associated areas of wear and rubbing to the gilt cartouches. Overall dimensions 45 x 38 cm. The gilding on the cartouches matches that of the tureen, both leaf fronds are tied with a ribbon gilt to simulate silk indicating that they were from the same service. Two large bottle coolers, 1779 and circa 1776, decorated in the 19th century, the first with interlaced L mark flanked by date letters bb and paintyer's mark `m.`, 6 1/2 in (16 .5 cm.) high, generally in good order. The other with blue interlaced L slanked by V and Y below dividers above the script mark BD for Boudin (?), the cooler has been cracked through the cartouche painted with fruit from the rim to the underside where the crack forks, traced of old restoration and staining. Scratches to the grounbd colour and rubbing to gilding. A paler green ground colour which was certainly added in the 19th century as was the gilding, the fruit and flower painting may be period, trayes of blue below the rubbed gilding on the handles. Four liqueur bottle coolers, 1770 and 1771, the example with date letter R has painter's mark of a St Andrew's cross fro Micaud and a gilders four dots in a lozenge, shallow footrim chip. Two have date letters S and painter's mark of a `b` for Bertrand (?), both in good order but showing poatches of wear to the gilt upper surface of rim, one example has glazed over blemished to the rim and footrim. The fourth example, also date letter S has a painter's mark `L.` for Levé, this has been drilled three times to the base, stilght staining and water damage to the interior glaze, small area of wear to gilt rim. Each about 10.5 cm. high. Darker green ground colour. Two circular covers, circa 1770, both from a seau à glace, both unmarked, one with similar gilt cartouche to the majority of the service, the other with a plain zig-zag pattern to the exterior collar edged with gilt line and dot ornament. Both in generally good order. Five soup plates, 1771, four with date letters s, the other apparently unmarked, one has been cracked across with signs of old rivets, in need of re-bonding. Each 24 cm. wide. Some signs of glaze scratching from use but generally in good order. The ground colour is the darker green similar to the liqueur bottle coolers. Twenty plates, 1762, 17
