A SET OF SIX GEORGE III MAHOGANY AND NEEDLEWORK SIDE CHAIRS CIRCA 1760 Each with a slightly arched padded back and seat upholstered in petit point needlework depicting Old Testament scenes, with round and oblong brass nailing, the blind fret and pierced seat rails centred by an acanthus spray and with foliate spandrels, on similar square section legs with guttae feet, with original secondary seat framing, webbing and scrim (some replaced), stamped 'WF', two with handwritten label 'Hon. Sir John Ward', one with an ivorine label 'FRANK PARTRIDGE .... 26, KING STREET ST. JAMES'S / AND / NEW YORK', one inscribed 'M' to the web 38 in. (97 cm.) high; 22.1/2 in. (57 cm.) wide; 23.1/2 in. (60 cm.) deep
