MARK OF JOHN PARKER AND EDWARD WAKELIN LONDON, 1765 AND MARK OF WILLIAM FRISBEE, LONDON, 1810
A SET OF FOUR GEORGE III SILVER DISHES WITH ASSOCIATED COVERS AND OLD SHEFFIELD-PLATED STANDS MARK OF JOHN PARKER AND EDWARD WAKELIN LONDON, 1765 AND MARK OF WILLIAM FRISBEE, LONDON, 1810 The dishes triangular and with a gadrooned rim, the conforming covers engraved with a coat-of-arms, two with reeded loop handles, each on an Old Sheffield-Plated stand with three reeded handles and with leaf-capped feet, the dishes marked underneath, the covers marked on side and on the two handles and the stands marked underneath, the dishes further engraved with a scratchweight '1 18:10', '2 17:17', '3 18:0' and '4 18:0' 11½ in. (29.5 cm.) wide 139 oz. (4,324 gr.) The arms are those of Hunter quartering Kennedy and Blair for Sir David Hunter Blair 3rd Bt. (1778-1857) who succeeded his brother in 1800. (4)
