Thomas William Gill was born in Croydon, Surrey, on 18 March 1903 and was commissioned Second Lieutenant in the 14th/20th Hussars on 11 January 1943, having previously served in the ranks. Advanced Captain on 8 September 1952, he died in Worthing, Sussex, in 1983. Sold with named Buckingham Palace enclosure for the M.B.E., and a photograph of the recipient escorting H.M. the King in 1945.
