LATE 2ND-EARLY 3RD CENTURY A.D.
A ROMAN TERRACOTTA BUST, POSSIBLY THE EMPRESS JULIA DOMNA LATE 2ND-EARLY 3RD CENTURY A.D. Her hair drawn back in braids to chignon at rear, with draped bust, on socle base, repaired, 6 3/8 in. (16.2 cm.) high; a Hellenistic terracotta seated naked female figure, wearing diadem, pierced at shoulders for attachment of articulated arms (now missing), circa 1st Century B.C., 7½ in. (19 cm.) high; an Attic black glazed lamp with strap handle, late 5th/early 4th Century B.C., 5 1/8 in. (13 cm.) long; two North African terracotta lamps including a redware lamp with moulded decoration, the central tondo with figure carrying grape bunch(?), 4th-6th Century A.D., 4 5/8 in. (11.7 cm.) long; and a Parthian bone head of a doll, of stylized form with long gently tapered neck, large incised eyes and brows, circa 2nd Century A.D., 2 5/8 in. (6.6 cm.) high (6)
