A ROMAN REDWARE POTTERY JUGLET NORTH AFRICAN, 3RD CENTURY A.D. The twin-handled vessel with round body and tapered neck, the body decorated with applied motifs, a central figure of a running hare, palm fronds at either side beneath the handles, a rosette on reverse, the handles moulded with further palm fronds, on high foot, 6½ in. (16.5 cm.) high; an Etruscan impasto ware kantharos, the body moulded with fine vertical ribs, with high arching loop handles, on ring foot, repaired, late 8th/early 7th Century B.C., 3 in. (7.6 cm.) high; and a large group of mainly plain ware pottery, from Bronze Age to Roman periods, Eastern Mediterranean, including a large bowl decorated with incised ring of dots encircling the outer rim between five lug handles, 12½ in. (31.7 cm.) diam.; another similar with four lug handles, 11.5/8 in. (29.5 cm.) diam.; a large storage vessel with rounded base and constricted neck, 11¼ in. (28.5 cm.) high; a spouted bowl, 4.1/8 in. (10.5 cm.) high; another similar with handle, 7 in. (17.7 cm.) high; a twin-handled pitcher, the body decorated with an encircling red band with black borders, another below the ribbed rim, 9 in. (23 cm.) high; and a group of lamps including one of quatrefoil type, and another of 'cocked hat' type with single pinched spout, both 6in. (15 cm.) diam.(a lot)
