Beschreibung:

A Regency gadrooned and fluted moulded oblong teapot and matching gilt-lined sugar basin on ball feet, the teapot with panelled rising curved spout, leaf-capped bracket handle and domed hinged cover with gadrooned and flute and foliate-stamped rounded oblong finial, the milk jug with leaf-capped part-reeded bracket handle, Crispin Fuller, London 1818 - height of teapot 6¼in, 27.50oz. These pices have long been thought to have belonged to Admiral Lord Collingwood of Trafalgar fame. In fact Lord Collingwood died in March 1810 so obviously the date of 1818 does not correspond. They may therefore have belonged to his widow nee Sarah Blackett or to a direct descendent. (2)
