A RARE TEADUST-GROUND FAMILLE ROSE VASE QIANLONG SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD The ovoid body covered in a finely speckled, opaque glaze of deep olive color and set between a separately molded neck and foot, the waisted neck molded with a pair of elephant-head handles below a foliate border at the rim and a band of six butterflies, each trailing conjoined foliate scrolls against the mauve diaper ground as it rises from between ascending leaf tips decorated with flowerheads on a yellow ground painted in imitation of sgraffiato, the pedestal foot decorated with C-scrolls in blue and green on a similar mauve ground between a molded ruyi -head collar above and a narrow foliate border below, inside of neck covered in turquoise enamel, the nianhao reserved in white on the inside of the similarly enameled foot, all finely enameled in delicate colors and with gilt highlights, collar at base of neck neck missing--15 3/4 in. (40cm.) high
