A RARE LARGE LONGQUAN CELADON CARVED BALUSTER JAR, GUAN MING DYNASTY, 14TH CENTURY Heavily potted and carved with a wide band of sweeping peony scroll between a band of slender petals below and a ruyi band on the shoulder which is applied with two finely molded lion masks, with a band of diamond-pattern diaper on the tapering neck, covered inside and out with a glaze of soft olive-green tone, the outside of the mouth rim unglazed 13¼ in. (33.6 cm.) high
