A RARE INDIAN PART-ARMOUR COMPRISING TÓP, CHA'AINA AND A PAIR OF DASTÁNA , LAHORE, LATE 17TH CENTURY Finely decorated with central panels of interlaced flowering tendrils chiselled in low relief and picked-out with gold koftgari flowerheads, the borders decorated with further finely drawn gold koftgari ornaments involving a broad band of scrolling flowers, with buckles and fittings en suite , the tøep with early printed fabric lining and fitted with camail of rivetted and butted small rings, the two cha'aina plates of watered steel and retaining a portion of the original lining (5)
