Supported on five gilt repoussé copper Buddhist lion heads feet, the lobed gilt repoussé copper body ornately decorated with champlevé enamels in ruby red, sapphire blue, turquoise, and dusky pink with lotus scrolls within lobed reserves, the rim with a neatly incised key fret band, lotus, and diaper patterns. Provenance: From the collection of Georg Weifert (1850-1937). Thence by descent in the same family. Weifert was a Serbo-Austrian industrialist and the first governor of the Federal Bank of the Kingdom of Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia. Condition: Overall good condition with small losses to the enamels, extensive wear and traces of use, and a nicely grown patina.
