The woolly rhinoceros lived during the Pleistocene epoch and survived until the end of the last ice age. They were known to have coexisted with various other pre-historic animals such as Megaloceros, Arctotherium, Arctodus, Cave Lions, Cave Hyenas, Dire Wolves, Woolly Mammoth, American Mastodon and Steppe Bison.
