A RARE FINELY CARVED MOTTLED GREEN JADEITE MOUNTAIN REPUBLIC PERIOD, EARLT 20TH CENTURY The mountain is carved in the round and deeply carved on two ides with scenes of scholars and attendants at various pursuits in a wooded mountain landscape, three of the scholars worshipping a large sculpture of Buddha situated within a cave near the top on one side. Further detailed with pavilions built along a winding path. The stone shades from pale greenish-white to bright emerald green. 8 5/8 in. (21.5 cm.) high
