A RARE AND FINELY CAST BRONZE RITUAL FOOD VESSEL, FANGDING LATE SHANG DYNASTY, ANYANG, 11TH CENTURY BC Of rectangular form, raised on four slender supports cast with pendent blades, the sides cast with further blades pendent from a band of dragons confronted on a notched flange, all reserved on a leiwen ground retaining traces of black inlay, with an eleven-character inscription cast on the side of the interior, with mottled milky-green patina 5 7/8 in. (17.5 cm.) high
