A Queen Anne silver-gilt hot-water jug Mark of Philip Rollos II, London, 1710 Pear-shaped and on circular gadrooned foot, with short spout and part-wood scroll handle, the lower body applied with cut-card work border, the hinged domed cover with gadrooned rim, baluster finial and cut-card work calyx, the side engraved with the Royal coat-of-arms within Garter motto and with Royal crown above flanked by initials 'A R', marked on side and cover 7½in. (19cm.) high gross 15oz. (487gr.) The arms are those of Queen Anne (1701-1714).
