A PAIR OF VICTORIAN SILVER PILGRIM-FLASKS MARK OF GEORGE FOX LONDON, 1867, RETAILED BY LAMBERT, LONDON Each compressed pear-shape and on spreading foot with gadrooned border, the rim and lower body with an applied band of lappeted decoration, the sides with applied female masks supporting chains to the detachable cover, engraved with a coat-of-arms below an earl's coronet, marked underneath, on cover and on chain links, the foot further stamped 'Lambert Coventry Street, London' 15 3/4 in. (40 cm.) high 185 oz. 14 dwt. (5,776 gr.) The arms are those of Grosvenor for Hugh Lupus Grosvenor, Earl Grosvenor, who succeeded his father as 3rd Marquess of Westminster and was later created 1st Duke of Westminster (1825-1899).
