A PAIR OF REGENCE ORMOLU-MOUNTED AND PORCELAIN-INSET KINGWOOD AND AMARANTH COMMODES BY ETIENNE DOIRAT, CIRCA 1720-30, THE 18TH CENTURY SEVRES PORCELAIN PLAQUES LATER DECORATED AND PROBABLY ADDED IN THE SECOND QUARTER OF THE 19TH CENTURY IN ENGLAND Each with a a serpentine-fronted Rouge de Maine marble top above a pair of doors lined in rosewood, each centred with a ribbon-tied oval medallion with floral sprays and enclosing a shelf, the angles headed with espagnolette mounts, the sides centred by floral handles, above a shaped apron centred by foliage, on short cabriole legs with foliate sabots, each stamped 'E.
