A pair of Panoramic views of Mecca and Medina, Indian paintings on paper [Northern India (probably Delhi), c. 1890] 2 leaves, ink and gouache on paper, one showing a detailed description of Ka'aba and the Masjid al-Haram, the other of Medina showing the open court and garden of paradise with the well, each painting with 5 minarets and enclosing domed outer walls, domestic houses with rooftops extending out into the edges of both paintings, turbaned pilgrims robed in white seen in the foregrounds, flat-roofed houses decorated in a variety of colours seen on the outskirts of the holy sites, images ruled in yellow, green and blue borders, outer edges of the paintings creased, some light finger-soiling and creases with very slight chips to paint, overall very blight and attractive condition, 400 by 480 mm. and 410 by 580 mm.
