A Pair of Louis XV Style Gilt Bronze Mounted Marquetry Pedestals attributed to theodore millet, 19th century each having a shaped rectangular breche d'alep marble inset top, the pedestals of bombe form with female busts at all four corners, inlaid througout to show ribbon-tied bouquets with trophy and icicle mounts, raised on foliate scroll legs. Height 47 1/2 x width 16 3/8 x depth 16 3/8 inches. Estimate $ 30,000-50,000 Good, attractive condition overall. Marble tops with very light scratches and few if any small edge chips. One with wax drips on the marble top and top of the pedestal. Both with very lightly cracked/lifting veneer in a few places. Both with several small discolorations or areas of veneer repair. One with several small water spots to one side. All mounts apparently present with even patina; several areas of very lightly lifted or bent mounts. Additional photos available upon request.
