A pair of German carved, parcel gilt and polychrome painted wood models of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, probably Ulm district, 16th century, both modelled as torso length, facing forwards and bearded, each with drapery over a belt, shown with unfurled scrolls across their midriffs, 35.5 and 34.5cm high respectively; both with later associated carved and stained oak wall brackets, circa 1900, with demi-lune platforms above supports modelled as Gothic tracery, 24.5cm high, 25.5cm wide Provenance: Private collection from a significant Gloucestershire manor house.
