A PAIR OF GEORGE III SILVER ENTREE-DISHES
MARK OF PAUL STORR LONDON, 1807
A PAIR OF GEORGE III SILVER ENTREE-DISHES MARK OF PAUL STORR LONDON, 1807 Each shaped circular, with shell-heightened gadrooned border, engraved with two crests, each marked on side 10 7/8 in. (27.5 cm.) diam. 65 oz. (2,035 gr.) The crests are those of Burrell and Bertie, for the Hon. Lindsey Merrick Peter Burrell (1786-1848), second son of Sir Peter Burrell, 1st Baron Gwydyr of Gwydyr (1754-1820) and Lady Priscilla, Baroness Willoughby de Eresby (1761-1828). Lindsey married Frances (d.1846), youngest daughter of Peregrin Butler of Dungarvan, Ireland, in 1807, the year these dishes were hallmarked. His elder brother Peter, later 2nd Baron Gwydyr and 21st Lord Willoughby de Eresby also married in 1807 but took the additional arms and name of Drummond, his wife Lady Sarah Drummond being the only child and heir of James Drummond 11th Earl of Perth. A PAIR OF GEORGE III SILVER ENTREE-DISHES MARK OF PAUL STORR LONDON, 1807 Each shaped circular, with shell-heightened gadrooned border, engraved with two crests, each marked on side 10 7/8 in.
