A PAIR OF GEORGE III MAHOGANY BOOKCASES attributed to Mayhew and Ince, each in three sections and with moulded rectangular cornice centred by a fluted urn wreathed in laurel below a scallop-shell finial, with fluted frieze above a pair of glazed doors, the tracery depicting an urn from which stem scrolling foliate arabesques, enclosing four shelves and with later material backing, the base with vitruvian-scroll frieze above a pair of planelled doors with oval patera angles, one enclosing shelves, the other six variously-sized drawers, on two-tier plinth base, the drawers added at a later date, variations in quality of carving 64½in. (164cm.) wide and 65½in. (166.5cm.) wide; 115½in. (293cm.) high; 16½in. (42cm.) deep
