A PAIR OF CENTRAL EUROPEAN EBONISED AND SPECIMEN END-CUT PARQUETRY SIDE-CABINET Basically 19th Century Each with broken segmental pediment cresting centered by a plinth with later carved monogram 'JR' above a platform supported by later green marble columns framing two plaques, each inlaid with a stylised flowerhead panel of end-cut specimen woods, above a marble top, two frieze drawers and a pair of cupboard doors, each cupboard door further inlaid with specimen woods, with central roundel and outer lozenge, within a rectangle with lobed border, on a plinth base, the second cabinet with specimen woods inlaid in concentric rings, both with restored cresting, incorporating later elements, variations in the parquetry between cabinets 79 1/8 in. (210 cm.) high; 56 in. (142.3 cm.) wide; 22 1/8 in. (56 cm.) deep (2)
